The New York Giants will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers to conclude Week 8 on ‘Monday Night Football.’ It will be the second time this year that the G-Men are in prime time, and if you saw their first game under the lights, you may have spotted something different. New York head coach Brian Daboll dropped some noticeable weight ahead of the 2024 season. No, we aren’t talking about the 234 pounds that the Giants dropped as a team by letting Saquon Barkley just walk to the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency.

Daboll lost 50 pounds in the offseason and returned to training camp looking slimmed down. Here is everything you need to know about his dramatic weight loss.

Losing 50 pounds is no easy feat. Daboll was questioned about what all went into his weight loss, and he gave a simple answer. Pilates! Daboll’s interest in Pilates developed into a love, and he was hooked. The head coach also did the normal thing when one does Pilates: telling everyone about it. His secret got out via his GM, Joe Schoen, who had told NFL reporter Kay Adams about Daboll’s infatuation with the practice.

Daboll credits his weight loss to the Pilates studio he joined in Wyckoff, N.J. He went for a few weeks and eventually got past the period when he was always sore. The weight loss plan likely involves a diet, but Daboll really focused on the effect that Pilates had had on him.

Daboll didn’t reveal how much he weighs these days. He did say that he is still doing Pilates when his schedule allows, sometimes going at five a.m. Daboll also isn’t a stranger to losing large amounts of weight. One year when he was with the Cleveland Browns, he dropped 112 pounds.
