Amanda Bynes is sharing a rare personal update as part of an ongoing health journey after noting earlier this year she wanted to lose weight. The She’s the Man star gave an update on her weight loss journey after sharing earlier this year how her mental health was impacting her weight.

“Down 6lbs,” Amanda wrote on her Nov. 5 Instagram Story, alongside a shocked emoji. “154lbs now!” Over her message was a screenshot of an Apple Fitness summary, which showed she’d surpassed her move goal by over 150 calories for that day and that she walked almost 15,000 steps.

Back in March, Amanda detailed how her mental health had led to weight gain and expressed that now she was feeling in a better place and making some lifestyle changes. “I’ve gained over 20lbs in the past few months from being depressed,” the Nickelodeon alum wrote in a March 28 Instagram Story. “I’m doing a lot better now and have learned to do opposite action when I don’t feel like working out or eating clean.” She continued, “I weigh 162lbs right now and want to get back to 110lbs.”

Both health comments mark a rare update from the 38-year-old, who has kept much of her private life out of the public eye in recent years. Most recently, Amanda shared an all too relatable message about navigating a breakup. In a soon-deleted April 22 Instagram Story, she asked, “Am I the only one who’s trying to win back their ex through every Instagram post?” While the Easy A alum didn’t specify which ex she was referring to, Amanda was last publicly linked to Paul Michael, to whom she was engaged between 2020 and 2021.

In addition to seeking lost love and focusing on her health, Amanda’s time has also been filled with self-growth activities, including her journey to get her manicurist license, which she has documented on social media. She stated, “Even though the podcast is doing really well, I am going to take a pause on it for now,” expressing her preference to pursue her passion for nails instead.

Several celebrities have also shared their health journeys, discussing the motivations and changes they’ve made to improve their well-being. From Kelly Clarkson’s focus on a protein-rich diet to Whoopi Goldberg’s candid discussions about weight loss medications, each story underlines the importance of maintaining health and wellness in the face of personal challenges.

Amanda’s openness about her struggles and progress not only encourages her fans but highlights the ongoing conversation around mental health, body image, and personal transformation in the public eye.
